At Mike’s Famous®, we are Connecticut’s premium Harley-Davidson® dealership. And to start off 2022, we are offering riding lessons for those who want to learn how to ride a motorcycle in the new year. We offer one of the best academies for those looking to learn the ropes and start taking bike rides in CT.
As we prepare our Spring 2022 course schedule, we wanted to share some of the benefits of joining Mike’s Famous® amazing motorcycle lessons CT!
COST BREAKDOWN
Currently we offer our Basic Rider at a rate of $349. The rate includes a pre-class orientation, an MSF issued course workbook and a link to the MSF 3 hour self-paced online class.
If your class is on a weekend, you will also attend one 4 hour evening class and an additional 2 days of riding, training and testing. After you complete training at Mike’s Famous®, we offer help by guiding you through registering with the DMV to get the appropriate permits and conduct a post-class follow-up.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE CLASS
Before coming to our amazing dealership for classes we ask that all students obtain the appropriate safety gear. All Mike’s Famous® riding academy students automatically enjoy 20 percent off on all safety gear for sale in our motor clothes department.
In addition to riding gear, we ask all students to bring a valid driver’s license, sturdy ankle footwear, protective eyewear, full fingered leather gloves, a long-sleeved jacket or shirt, long and sturdy pants that are not flared and have no holes. We also require that students obtain a Department of Transportation approved motorcycle helmet.
NO PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
The best thing about our learning to take bike rides in CT with us is that you do not have to have any previous experience to enroll. Our trained and experienced instructors will guide you through a pre-class orientation which includes a ride on our bike simulator, which will let you experience the thrill of riding a Harley-Davidson® and all of its rumbles, controls, and throttles. At the conclusion of the class, Mike’s Famous® will send all of your information to the appropriate DMV in Connecticut or Rhode Island, and you’ll be ready for bike rides in CT!

Mike’s Famous® riding academy offers students personalized one-on-one training where our amazing instructors take the time to help students grow the confidence to take on the road with their new bike.
We offer free orientations, simulator training, safety evaluations, motorcycle fittings, and countless Q&A sessions. Mike’s Famous® is here for you and your new motorcycle journey. Even when you finish our class, you’ll be kept in the loop of all our major activities — which will give you great opportunities to practice your riding skills.
