Our 43rd Annual Gift Run, in partnership with the New London County H.O.G. Chapter, Camp Harkness Foundation and the Department of Developmental Services.
This year's event will be held on November 6th. Registration is from 9:30am through 12:30pm at Mike’s, but we highly encourage pre-registration!

About The Gift Run
This event is free and open to the public. It aims to benefit people of all ages served by Camp Harkness and the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) Gift cards donated and funds raised will be distributed to families of DDS spreading holiday cheer throughout Southeastern CT. While gift cards are suggested. Camp organizers have suggested the following gifts items:
- Gift cards for retail and grocery stores
- Adult-sized clothing, such as socks and sweatshirts
- Pajamas, robes, slippers, jackets, hats, gloves
- Crafts, art supplies, books, sports items, and DVDs
- Towels and bath & body items
- Sensory touch toys
- Yard games
Please note: We do not encourage toys and stuffed animals at this time.
Motorcycle gift runs are an excellent way to raise money for a charity or event. They’re also a great way to meet new people, make new friends and have fun.

Be sure to come to the bike ride hungry! At Mike’s Famous H-D ®, we will be hosting a free homemade biker breakfast from 9:30am to 12:30pm. This hot meal will be the perfect start to the day - it is first come, first serve to be sure to arrive on time with the family!

Why Participate?
All donations collected will go towards Camp Harkness Foundation, operated by the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services (DDS).
If you’ve never been on a motorcycle gift run before, here are the main benefits:
Raise money for a good cause. Motorcycle gift runs are one of the easiest ways to raise money for a cause or charity. Riders can stop at businesses along their route and pick up donations. The funds raised go directly to the charity of choice.
Meet new people and make friends. A lot of people who participate in these types of rides do so regularly because they enjoy meeting new people and making friends with others who share common interests or goals. This could create bonds between those who don’t know each other beforehand but become close friends afterward because they share similar goals and interests.
