We’re inviting riders to join us for a special event on Sunday, November 14th: the 42nd annual Gift Run!
We’re proud to be a part of this special event, which benefits people of all ages served by the Department of Developmental Services through Camp Harkness, a park in Southeastern Connecticut dedicated for use by persons with disabilities with their families and friends.
The holiday season is right around the corner, and this event provides an opportunity for all of us to share the joy of the holiday season. If you’re able to join us for the ride or reception at Camp Harkness, or even just donate a gift or gift card, your participation would be greatly appreciated by everyone--especially those who will receive the gifts!

Event Details
The 42nd annual Gift Run will take place on Sunday, November 14th!
Registration will be open from 9:30AM-12:30PM and will take place at Mike’s Famous® Harley-Davidson®.
The gift ride will begin promptly at 1:00 PM. You’ll definitely enjoy this 30-minute, escorted ride through New London, Waterford, and along scenic Niantic Bay in East Lyme, ending in beautiful Camp Harkness at 301 Great Neck Road, Waterford, CT. Spectators and visitors are welcome to join in all the fun we’ll have at Camp Harkness.
This should be a beautiful late fall ride through some of the most picturesque parts of southeastern Connecticut--all for an outstanding cause.
Gift Information
The Department of Developmental Services serves Connecticut residents living with disabilities of all ages. Therefore, you can bring unwrapped gifts or gift cards for people of all ages. However, we kindly ask that you do not donate stuffed animals. If you have any questions about donation items, feel free to contact us in advance.
Your gifts will make a big difference in spreading joy this holiday season. Especially after all the challenges of the past year, we all know how important this is.
